Nouvel Glass Competition x ECAL

ouvel extended an invitation to all ECAL students, from Bachelor’s to Master’s degrees, to engage in a design competition centered around the creation of visual proposals for a new glass bottle “Juniper” conceived by Michel Charlot.

The bottle, which served as a blank canvas, provided an opportunity for students to experiment with an array of sophisticated decorative processes. These techniques included, but were not limited to, silkscreen printing, hot stamping, spray painting, sandblasting, 3D print painting, and decal application, all of which allowed for diverse artistic interventions.

The competition was deliberately open-ended, encouraging a wide spectrum of creative visual expression, free from constraints. Participants were invited to explore not only traditional graphic design and visual arts but also to delve into the realm of digital design, offering a multidisciplinary approach to the intersection of craft, technology, and contemporary aesthetics.
