Grid by Nicolas Le Moigne

Grid is a modular system of interlocking glass bricks. Its design, featuring bas-reliefs, creates cylindrical voids that allow for the integration of utilitarian elements such as shelves or hooks.

This groundbreaking glass grid device offers endless possibilities for customization, enabling a wide range of architectural configurations, such as functional walls or partitions.  Beyond spatial solutions, Grid is also distinguished by its ability to serve as a building element for creating furniture and accessories, such as tables and light fixtures. The assemblies created open new perspectives for manipulating light, thanks to the possible integration of light sources that seamlessly blend into the bricks. This flexibility allows for the creation of customizable spaces and enriches them with new types of objects.

For many years, I had the privilege of working with renowned and well-established maisons and luxury brands. A common thread among them is the space and recognition they give to their craftsmen and craftswomen, ensuring the highest quality in their production.

For me, working with Nouvel is a wonderful opportunity to continue this tradition of luxury and craftsmanship.

I had the chance to propose ideas for Nouvel, and together with the design team, we developed a glass brick—an innovative project that explores both glass and architecture. It began as an experiment: how can a small object evolve into something greater?

From the start, the idea was to integrate holes into the brick, adding another layer of functionality. The brick itself serves as a space divider, but with the addition of these openings, it can accommodate accessories that introduce new uses, such as shelving or furniture.
